Thank you for your interest in Miss Renae Music! My name is Emily Asay but I have students call me by my middle name, Miss Renae. 

I play the violin with the Matanuska Susitna Orchestra and I’m one of the teachers of the Mat Su Youth Orchestra. I have a bachelor's degree in music education, five years of experience teaching elementary school orchestra classes, and going on my third year of teaching private lessons while being a stay-at-home-mom. I strongly believe that life is so much more fulfilling with music! 

Most of my teaching experience is with younger kiddos (about 10 years old) but I am happy to accept students of any age. It is never too late to enjoy the benefits of making music!
